Greetings from Grassroots Local Market! We opened our doors on September 1st and have celebrated our first month in business! We would like to thank everyone for their continued support - especially our member-owners who helped make this dream a reality!
We have enjoyed greeting many of you at the store already and hope to see you again very soon! If you haven't stopped by the store yet... we are open daily from 8am to 8pm, be sure to come and say hello!

Now that we have been open for a bit and have many of our systems in place, we are able to start expanding and building on some our departments. You've asked for it, we listened! There has been wonderful feedback already on the store's grocery and produce items, but there has been a significant number of requests for breakfast and a larger selection of "grab 'n go" items to be added to our deli. We've added a variety of new items to our deli menu and will send out weekly emails with details.

SUNDAY

Tomato Basil Soup -   Slow-simmered crushed tomatoes and ribbon-cut basil in a flavorful vegetable stock with extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of sea salt.

MONDAY

Broccoli Cheddar Soup -   Delicately puréed broccoli and sautéed onions in a rich blend of extra sharp cheddar cheese and light cream with a touch of white pepper.

TUESDAY

Thai Chicken Soup with Red Curry -   Slow-simmered chicken, brown rice, red and green peppers and bamboo shoots in a lemongrass and coriander infused chicken stock with red curry, ginger and chopped scallions.

WEDNESDAY

New England Clam Chowder -   Tender sea clams in a rich, roux-thickened fish stock with tempered light cream, tender potatoes, rendered salt pork and sautéed onions.

THURSDAY

Minestrone -   Al dente ditalini pasta and hearty white beans in a handcrafted vegetable stock with garden vegetables, olive oil and a hint of sea salt.

FRIDAY

Loaded Potato Soup -   Tender potatoes, uncured bacon and cheddar cheese in a roux-thickened blend of beef and chicken stocks with sautéed garlic and chopped scallions.

SATURDAY

White Chicken Chili with Cilantro -   Slow-simmered chicken and white beans in a roux-thickened chicken stock with tangy sour cream, green bell peppers, chopped cilantro and Southwestern spices.
